Join us as we journey through this resource together in 2020.

Weekly Reading & Activity Guides

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Mark 1:1.

Day 3: Read John 2.

Day 4: Meditate on Acts 20:24; Romans 1:16; Galatians 1:6-9.

Day 5: Ask yourself two questions: (1) If you claimed Romans 1:16 for your life, would your friends and family have enough evidence to defend your claim? (2) What practical steps can you take to make Acts 20:24 a reality in your schedule this week?

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Acts 17:26.

Day 3: Read Jonah 1-4.

Day 4: Meditate on Isaiah 49:6; Ephesians 2:13-14; Revelation 7:9-10.

Day 5: Have a meal with someone from a different ethnic or cultural background to learn about that person’s story.

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize John 3:16

Day 3: Read 1 Corinthians 13.

Day 4: Meditate on Romans 5:8; Romans 8:38-39; 1 John 3:16-17.

Day 5: Clean out a closet, garage, or storage unit, and find a place to donate those items.

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Acts 1:8.

Day 3: Read Acts 2.

Day 4: Meditate on John 16:13-14; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 1:13.

Day 5: Identify one of the benefits the Holy Spirit provides for you that you need most right now. Look up every passage referenced under that benefit.

  1. Do I have to bring the book to church with me?  No.  But you might want to.
  2. Are we reading the book start to finish?  No, we’ll jump around the book throughout the year but you can always find our reading plan on this webpage.
  3. What is the Weekly Rhythm?  Sunday, come to church (or watch online).  Monday, begin the 5-day “This Week” plan found at the end of each chapter.
  4. Do I read the chapter before I come to Church?  No.  You’ll be busy with last week’s chapter.
  5. What if I haven’t bought a book for me (and two of my friends) yet?  You can purchase the book in our lobby at any point throughout the year. $10 each or $25 for three.
