Weekly Reading & Activity Guides

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Jeremiah 31:33-34

Day 3: Read Matthew 3; Luke 4.

Day 4: Meditate on Luke 22:20; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Hebrews 9:14-15.

Day 5: Read the book of Hebrews, making a list of advantages the new covenant offers Christians.

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Matthew 22:14.

Day 3: Read Acts 9:1-31.

Day 4: Meditate on Joshua 24:15; Romans 8: 29-30; 2 Peter 3:9.

Day 5: Identify what you along are qualified to do for God. Share this with a friend or mentor who can  help you determine action steps to carry it out. 

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize John 10:28.

Day 3: Read 1 Samuel 17.

Day 4: Meditate on John 6:37; Romans 11:20-21; Hebrews 6:4-6.

Day 5: Identify three or four ways God pursued you before you ever pledged loyalty to him. In prayer, express your loyalty and gratitude for his pursuit.

  1. Do I have to bring the book to church with me?  No.  But you might want to.
  2. Are we reading the book start to finish?  No, we’ll jump around the book throughout the year but you can always find our reading plan on this webpage.
  3. What is the Weekly Rhythm?  Sunday, come to church (or watch online).  Monday, begin the 5-day “This Week” plan found at the end of each chapter.
  4. Do I read the chapter before I come to Church?  No.  You’ll be busy with last week’s chapter.
  5. What if I haven’t bought a book for me (and two of my friends) yet?  You can purchase the book in our lobby at any point throughout the year. $10 each or $25 for three.
