You want to know the Bible better because you know the Bible will make you better. But where should I start? And how can I progress past the confusing parts? Core52 is your guide through the maze of a very big book. Welcome to the fast-track of biblical training.

Join us as we journey through this resource together in 2020.

Weekly Reading & Activity Guides

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Mark 1:15.

Day 3: Read Genesis 6:9-9:17.

Day 4: Meditate on Proverbs 3:5-6; Hebrews 11:1; James 2:17-18.

Day 5: Watch a patriotic film such as The Patriot, A Few Good Men, or Captain America: The First Avenger, and ask how faith would be defined through that movie.

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize 1 Corinthians 2:16.

Day 3: Read Acts 17-18.

Day 4: Meditate on Isaiah 6:9-10; John 7:17; Colossians 1:9. 

Day 5: Pray this for yourself: “We have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding” (Colossians 1:9).

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Hebrews 12:1-2.

Day 3: Read Nehemiah 1-2.

Day 4: Meditate of Luke 21:19; Philippians 3:7-11; 2 Timothy 4:7.

Day 5: Write out an action plan for growing grit in yourself or in someone else.

Day 1: Read the essay.

Day 2: Memorize Philippians 2:5-7.

Day 3: Read Genesis 37; 39-41.

Day 4: Meditate on Proverbs 29:23; John 3:30; 1 Peter 5:5-7.

Day 5: Choose one of the above action items to implement this week.

  1. Do I have to bring the book to church with me?  No.  But you might want to.
  2. Are we reading the book start to finish?  No, we’ll jump around the book throughout the year but you can always find our reading plan on this webpage.
  3. What is the Weekly Rhythm?  Sunday, come to church (or watch online).  Monday, begin the 5-day “This Week” plan found at the end of each chapter.
  4. Do I read the chapter before I come to Church?  No.  You’ll be busy with last week’s chapter.
  5. What if I haven’t bought a book for me (and two of my friends) yet?  You can purchase the book in our lobby at any point throughout the year. $10 each or $25 for three.
